We prep and pour
We clean and prime the concrete, repair what needs repairing, then trowel the rubber surface on by hand. Most residential jobs are one to two days.
Walk on it the next day
It cures overnight. Most surfaces are ready to use the following day, weather permitting — and we take the mess with us.

Questions
The things people ask before booking
Can you install over my existing concrete?
Usually, yes — that's the point of it. It bonds to most sound solid surfaces, including concrete, asphalt and wood. If a slab is badly broken up or moving, we'll tell you at the quote rather than surface over a problem.
Is it slippery when it's wet?
No. The surface is made of rubber granules, so it stays grippy wet — the same reason a rubber bath mat works. That's why it gets used around pools and on steps.
My concrete is already cracked. Will it just crack again?
The surface is flexible and bonded to the slab, so it moves with it instead of fracturing the way a rigid topping would. Existing cracks get covered. We can't stop a slab that is actively shifting, and we'll say so if that's what we find.
How long until we can use it?
Most residential jobs take one to two days on site, and the surface is normally ready to walk on the day after we finish. Cold or wet weather extends that.
How does it handle winter and road salt?
It's designed for freeze-thaw and is unaffected by de-icing salt. Water drains through rather than sitting on top and freezing in place, which is what does the damage to concrete.
Will the colour fade?
The colour is in the rubber granule itself rather than a coating on top, so it doesn't wear off. Like anything outdoors in full sun, expect some gradual softening of tone over the years.
How do I clean it?
Sweep it, or hose it down. For anything greasier, warm water and a stiff brush. No sealing or annual re-coating.
What if it gets damaged?
It's repairable in place — a damaged patch can be cut out and re-poured, and because the colour runs through the material the repair blends rather than sitting on top as a visible square.
What does it cost?
It depends on the area, the condition of the existing slab and the colour, so we price it on site. The quote is free, fixed and in writing before any work starts — and it's almost always less than tearing out and repouring.
